Abstract
The main objective of this article is to analyze the current and desired state of the higher education curriculum based on aesthetic components. To achieve this, 236 faculty members from Shahid Bahonar University (out of 600) were selected using a quota sampling method. The research employed a descriptive-survey methodology, utilizing a researcher-made two-sided questionnaire with 31 items that examined four curriculum elements: objectives, content,teaching-learning activities, and evaluation methods in both current and desired states. The instrument’s validity was established in terms of face validity and content validity, and its reliability was confirmed using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient and inferential statistical levels (one-sample t-test, Wilcoxon test, and Friedman test) using SPSS software version 26. The results indicated significant differences between the current and desired states concerning the four curriculum elements: objectives, content, teaching-learning activities, and evaluation methods based on aesthetic components at Shahid Bahonar University in Kerman
